Was the Forbidden City ever open to public

                 the answer to this question is yes it was. In 1949 the government of peoples republic of china opend the Forbidden City to the public for the first time since it was built. Now also known as the Palace Museum or Gu Gong in chinese this magnificiant city holds pricless artifacts and art from all periods of the chinese history. It is visited by more than 2 million people a year. It is also one of the most popular tourist atractions in the world. And theres more for the people who cant visit in person there is a one-twentieth scale replica of this city in the forbidden gardens in katy, Texas
